网页2020年11月2日 · Red Pine up here is 4800 pounds per cord average, although nice older age logs probably are closer to 5000. A cord is 500 bf roughly, so 10,000 pounds per MBF. Or said another way 5 ton per MBF. I just paid $300/MBF for a load of Red Pine logs. So, I think that makes $60 per ton.

Our local mill that buys pine pays $150/k for SYP sawlogs that are 8' or 10', and $170 for 12, 14, and 16' logs. Their minimum top is 8".

网页Volume per 7" tree 0.125 m 3 (0.059 cords) = 37 cord/acre. Probably pretty handy , 18-20 cords. But, this assumes good quality stems, sometimes you get a lot of double stems and crooks from environmental damage. Realistically, probably around 16 cords/acre of quality stems at your harvest pattern. Just my two cents.

I bought 2 loads of oversize a few years ago, paid 80/ton for 1 load and 58/ton for the other. Hope this helps.
