India D ended the first day of their Duleep Trophy match against India B at 306 for five, driven by strong batting from Sanju Samson (89 not out), Devdutt Padikkal (50), Srikar Bharat (52), and Ricky Bhui (56).

Sanju Samson starred for India D with an unbeaten 89 while the likes of Devdutt Padikkal, KS Bharat and Ricky Bhui chipped in with fifties to leave India D at 306/5 at the end of Day 1.
