This is a 55" Sony Bravia tv and it sucks. It is slow to connect to the internet even at 90+ mbs and it buffers way too much. If you are shopping for a Sony tv RUN!! The Google system is not good.
The contrast is very impressive, with sharp outlines making objects stand out against the background. Its black levels aren't quite as dark as the Bravia 8's, but for a backlit TV they are very good.
