Space Marine 2 has said it has no issue with modding in the game’s co-op PvE mode, but it has admitted to secretly clamping down on modding in PvP with the release of its latest patch. Publisher Focus Entertainment and developer Saber Interactive this week released Update 4.

Space Marine 2 doesn’t have a massive selection of mods just yet, but you can already find about fifty or so of them over on NexusMods, with many more undoubtedly coming in the following weeks and months.

Space Marine 2 is still going strong on Steam and 4.5 million players later the sci-fi shooter is finally getting its first new operation since launch. Patch 4.0 adds a new multiplayer mission on the planet Kadaku called Termination as well as some notable changes to the underlying gameplay.
