The world’s third-largest cybersecurity company Fortinet has disclosed a data breach after a threat actor Fortibitch leaked 440 GB of the company’s allegedly stolen SharePoint data.

"An individual gained unauthorized access to a limited number of files stored on Fortinet's instance of a third-party cloud-based shared file drive, which included limited data related to a small number (less than 0.3 percent) of Fortinet customers," the security giant announced in a blog post.

The files included “limited data related to a small number of Fortinet customers,” the announcement added, stating that this affects less than 0.3% of its user base. The company then said that its operations have not been impacted by the attack,
