October 9th update: Google has responded to Amazon’s Prime Day sale with its own discounts. The Pixel 8a has been discounted by $50, bringing it down to $449. There are also enhanced trade-in prices, which includes $135 for the Pixel 6a and a maximum value of $400 if the Pixel 7 Pro is handed over. Obviously this wouldn’t be a good trade to make.

Currently, you can pick up the Google Pixel 8 for only $402 at Amazon, a 42% drop from the usual price. This is astounding simply because we have never seen the Pixel 8 cost this much in the past, with the historical lowest price before now standing at $424. This deal is only available for the Obsidian model with 128GB of storage.

Google has once again slashed the price of its Pixel 8 Pro as it clears the remaining stock. The discount doesn’t quite match up to Amazon’s Prime Day deals, but newly enhanced trade-in prices shouldn’t be ignored.
