BBC team begin Children in Need swim challenge
The BBC Radio Berkshire swim team have completed the first day of their Children in Need challenge. Groups from BBC radio stations across the UK are taking part in The Thousand Mile Challenge, with each station attempting to cover 24 miles (38.6km) throughout the week.

BBC Radio presenters from across the UK are diving into a new swimming challenge for BBC Children in Need. The Thousand Mile Challenge will see teams from each BBC Local Radio station attempt to collectively swim the epic distance. Each station will contribute twenty-four miles to the total.
BBC Guernsey team starts swim for Children in Need
A group from BBC Guernsey is attempting to swim 24 miles (39km) in 24 hours for BBC Children in Need (CiN). The five-person team started the challenge at 08:00 BST in Beau Sejour and members have until 08:00 on 6 November to complete the swim.
